WHITE ROSE

Here in the former Royal Hofgarten is a large of black granite cube - a memorial to the White Rose movement.
Its inscription is taken from one of their leaflets.

“For remembrance, for contemplation – We don’t want to judge the different possible forms of government, democracy, constitutional monarchy, kingdom, etc. Only one thing should be stressed loud and clear: Every single person has the right to a workable and just state in which the freedom of the individual as well as the good of the whole community guarantees freedom of speech, freedom of association and protection of the individual from the despotism of criminal and violent regimes.”
