ROBERST WILLIAM MILLER 1895 - | |||||||||
Robert Miller was a Christadelphian Conscientious Objector, who strongly believed that war was against the principles of his religion. His Tribunal granted him exemption provided that he did "Work of National Importance" - roles that had to be filled to keep the country running during the war. He worked at Hackney Infirmary and London City Asylum during 1916 before falling ill. After recovering he went on to market gardening and farm work - employment offered to many Conscientious Objectors who took on Work of National Importance.
