PEACE from War and Peace Vining Street SW2
Dale McCrea and Pauline Harding
War and Peace face across a small park. ‘Peace has a solitary tree, there are no people only the Cerne Abbas giant cut into the far hillside. The spring fresh tree and sky reminds us of the wealth of nature but it is imprisoned behind a fence, while above a dove is entangled in barbed wire and below, in the roots of the tree, unicellular-diatoms are the only survivors of the Holocaust from which life will again have to evolve.'
