FREDERICK HALE 1889 - 1918

Frederick was born in 1889, and was a tailor living in Shirley, Southampton. In 1916 the Southampton Military Service Tribunal allowed him exemption only from combatant duty, and he accepted call-up to the 3rd Southern Company, Non-Combatant Corps. In 1918 he succumbed to the Worldwide influenza epidemic, and died on 30 October 1918, leaving his widow, Cecily, who had moved to Ringwood, Hampshire

He is buried in Southampton (Hollybrook) Cemetery, M 6 72.
